Echologics Contract Administrator (18 month Contract)
- Job Description

Echologics is currently recruiting a Contract Administrator in our Toronto, Ontario location. The Contract Administrator will be responsible for managing, coordinating, and administering Echologics contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and comment on draft proposals, prime contracts, joint venture agreements, development partnerships, distribution agreements and other legal contracts
- Participate as needed during contract negotiations and business development activities
- Maintain and administer project opening and closing process for commercial and development engagements
- Maintain vendor registration information for customer’s vendors’ portals
- Maintain and administer Echologics prevailing wage policies in collaboration with HR and Legal departments
- Engage in technical details of solution delivery for technology products in order to outline the risk associated with specific scopes of work
- Able to coordinate bid bonds, performance bonds and similar instruments
- Support the scoping and procurement of specialized legal advice as needed for new technology, specialized contractual arrangements, or country specific procedures
- Other legal, contractual, and administrative tasks as needed

The Contract Administrator supports the business by identifying and highlighting contract risk. The Contract Administrator collaborates with the following stakeholders:
Sales Team - Review contract language to identify and quantify risk. Directly support the commercial team in contract negotiations to clarify the intent of contract language with end customers and their legal departments in order to find mutually agreeable terms quickly.

Legal - Upload contracts for review with suggested language and approaches. Get guidance and contract drafting support when needed. Collaborate on corporate processes to ensure a timely review and visibility to ongoing contracts.

Operations Team - Maintain and administer the project opening and closeout process. Support contract risk and requirement identification for the project execution team. Support contract negotiations and engagements with project suppliers inclusive specialized global service and hardware suppliers.

Education & Experience:

- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Business, Law or Contracting & Procurement
- Experience in contract or project management in similar industries such as construction or technology
- Advanced negotiation and interpersonal skills

Skills & Competencies:

- Advanced communication skills (written and verbal), with proven ability to express complex ideas in a simple logical manner
- Strong organizational skills to break down a complex project into manageable tasks and prioritize them
- Proficient computer skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
- Knowledge of contract law is an asset
- Knowledge of corporate or project finance is an asset
