Purpose
Responsible for supporting the efficient and robust design, installation, operation, and security of the corporate network.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Assist in the design, installation and support of company network including LAN/WAN/Wireless Services and devices, as well at all management and alerting tools.
- Responsible for activities related to daily issues and projects involving our Network Managed Service Provider, Telco vendors and Operations.
- Responsible for the administration and monitoring of all Management tools related to network devices.
- Based on analysis/data from monitoring, provide performance and capacity summaries, suggest, or make changes to improve performance and security measures. Ensure standards are maintained.
- Assist in the design, management, monitoring and testing of network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Coordinate installation of all B2B network connectivity, including connections to Azure Cloud Services and Loss Prevention devices.
- Provide second level support to IT helpdesk team for network (connectivity, speed, back-up, security, trouble shooting) issues
- Maintain logs and alerting related to network functions for real-time analysis of equipment performance to proactively determine the need for repair, replacement or redirect
- Responsible for network asset management, including subscriptions and hardware maintenance agreements
- Work with IT asset management to provide annual budget recommendations for equipment and service replacement, by location
- Participate in defining standards, guidelines, best practices, and metrics as directed
- Assist in evaluating new requirements, technical design, and standards.
- Maintain documentation for all aspects of the network
- Research new technology, recommend enhancements

**Qualifications/Skills**:

- Two (2) years of post-secondary education (college diploma or degree) in a related technical field such as network design and engineering.
- Two (2) years or more experience deploying, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring network infrastructures
- Experience supporting Wireless network technologies and methodologies
- Advanced level of knowledge of network architecture, concepts and operations
- Experience with firewall configurations, IP routing and VLANs, good understanding of network threat management.
- Experience in physical infrastructure installations, including network devices, Access Points, and cablin
- Cisco certified internetwork expert (CCIE), Network Security Expert
- Good communication skills, verbal and written
- Excellent analytical skills
- Good interpersonal and teamworking skills
- Initiative to work independently, enthusiasm
- Attention to detail and commitment to qualities
