Shipper/receiver & Parts Helper

**Summary**

The Shipper’/Receiver is responsible all aspects of shipping and receiving of goods, maintaining cleanliness of the warehouse in general and service oil dispensing area.

**What You’ll Do - The Role (Responsibilities)**

Ship and receive for all departments, including checking packing list against package/skid quantity ensuring accuracy and condition of contents meets Total Power's expectations. Record details of all incoming shipments daily and advise appropriate departments of arrivals.
- Unload trucks and delivery vehicles using proper equipment including electric and propane forklifts, slings, chains, pallet jacks, dolly's etc. A valid forklift training certificate is required.
- Responsible for the organization and neatness of the warehouse and shipping/receiving docks, as well as the building perimeter.
- Help technicians load and unload equipment and supplies as required. Prepare load bank trailers with the necessary equipment as instructed. When equipment is returned be sure to note its condition and if repair is required notify the Service Manager.
- Contact courier, truck and other delivery services for shipping.
- Responsible to ensure all goods are received in a saleable state with no damage, ensure any damage is noted on the Bill of Lading and signed by the delivering party for the claims process.
- Responsible to provide a high standard of customer and supplier service and take a proactive approach in resolving Customer complaints and disputes. Assist the company in developing stronger relationships with our customers and suppliers.Work with Sales coordinator and transportation companies with respect to timely shipping of equipment.
- Responsible for inventory of Generators, transfer switches, and other defined stock items. Accurately record all the details of incoming and outgoing equipment.
- Assign and record internal serial numbers (G numbers or the newer file maker numbering system) to all equipment upon receiving them and record this with storage location on inventory logs.
- Package and ship all outgoing packages for all departments within the company.
- Responsible for the upkeep of oil dispensing area for cleanliness, draining used oil from catch basin to tank and getting used oil picked up.
- Responsible for daily dispensing of all liquids (oil, coolant, and windshield washer fluid)
- Pick up or delivery of parts using company vehicle
- Back up shipper/receiver at other local branches
- Other tasks and responsibilities as may be required from time to time consistent with the position of Shipper/Receiver and the job description and duties set out above.

**What You Need (Requirements)**
- 3-5 years of previous experience in shipping and receiving.
- Ability to lift or move up to l00lbs. in a warehouse or field environment.
- Forklift certified
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and strong computer skills / aptitude.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong multi-tasking capabilities.
- Time management, accountability, and dependability.
- Excellent communication skills; verbal and written.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- In the case of a power outage or declared State of Emergency by any level of Government in Ontario, be available for work.
