We are looking for dynamic and experienced Civil Construction Supervisors. to join our team immediately:

- Grading/Earthworks (Civil)
- Underground Water & Sewer (Civil)
- Hardscape
- Base

**Key Duties & Responsibilities**

**SUPERINTENDENT**:

- As an integral part of the construction leadership team you are responsible for implementing and monitoring the performance of the Company’s Safety and Environment Policies.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager with the initial mobilization and set up of the construction site.
- Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment problems.
- Control and monitor labour, equipment, and materials throughout each project and site to completion.
- Monitor job progress and costs and provide regular progress reporting to management.
- Manage all project administration activities including payroll, timekeeping, labor coding, equipment coding, purchase order coding and safety reporting.
- Establish effective onsite communications and progress reporting with sub-trades and clients.
- Conduct project postmortems to identify areas for improvement, make recommendations based on findings.
- Maintain effective labor relations through compliance with company policies, labor agreements, resolution of employee grievances and fair treatment of employees.
- Working with the Human Resources team to address any and all employee related topics/issues (recruitment, training, progressive discipline, terminations etc.).

**FOREMAN**:

- Being hands-on in field construction directly involved in all aspects of project construction including planning, construction, quantity verification, and safety.
- Communicating to the project Superintendent upcoming needs for the project including materials, manpower and equipment.
- Coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans.
- Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
- Ensures that all work is being done safely and in an efficient manner that maintains Wilco's excellent quality.
- Ensure subcontractors compliance with specifications and timelines for their scope of work.
- Responsible for training staff according to Wilco procedures and safe work practices.

**LEAD HAND**:

- Assisting in hands-on field construction, actively participating in all phases of the project, including planning, execution, and quality control.
- Communicating with the Foreman regarding daily work progress, upcoming material, manpower, and equipment needs.
- Helping coordinate and delegate daily tasks to crew members according to project priorities and schedules.
- Ensuring the proper and safe use of machinery and equipment on-site.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient work environment, following company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitoring work quality and progress, ensuring tasks meet Wilco’s high standards.
- Assisting in training and mentoring crew members on safe work practices and company procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as construction superintendent or foreman, civil preferred.
- Must possess strong leadership/mentorship and interpersonal skills
- Solid understanding of equipment operation.
- Strong numeracy skills, record keeping and technology usage.
- Ability to read and execute plans, read grade stakes and use laser level.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Have advanced knowledge of the fundamental principals of landscaping including grading, planting and hardscape.
- Promote a positive team culture across all departments and job sites with a focus on safety first and continuous improvement.
- Valid drivers license.
