Edmonton, Canada Maple Tree Consulting and Support Services Full time

**Job Profile**:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced human services with a very significant growth trajectory. This role will report directly to the Director, Owner of Maple Tree Consulting

The position is ideal for an individual seeking a role that combines accounting acumen with business operations. As a Senior Accountant, you will own the full-cycle accounting and weekly, monthly payroll for contractors and employees.

**Responsibilities**:

- Full cycle accounting responsibilities to ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the trial balance in the accounting system, which includes but not limited to:

- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Cash management which includes credit card, accounts payable and accounts receivable management
- Inventory management and completeness and accuracy over the inventory balance
- Fixed asset and capital lease subledger management
- Payroll and other accruals
- HST, payroll and other government remittances
- Revenue recognition
- Delivery of monthly reporting packages to management
- Other ad-hoc tasks that may arise from time-to-time.

**Job Requirements**:
Location - Remote
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting role
- Relevant undergraduate University degree in accounting, finance and/or business
- Recognized professional accounting designation is an asset (CPA)
- Relevant accounting experience with Canadian GAAP (ASPE)
- Proven ability to take ownership, work autonomously, implement change, and drive process improvement
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills with the ability to converse with executives
- Microsoft Excel, and experience with ERP/software implementations are assets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated and energetic with interest in entrepreneurship, business, and finance
