Job Summary:
The Hotel Sales and Events Manager is responsible for developing and executing events and sales for our 2 hotels. This position involves working closely with the Alberta Hotel Managers to maximize hotel and banquet facility revenue. The Hotel Sales and Event Manager will create and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients for event and group bookings and provide feedback on industry changes and trends.

Hotel Sales and Events Manager

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement sales and event plans to drive revenue
- Monitor industry trends and changes and provide feedback to appropriate departments
- Maintain relationships with current and potential customers to increase brand loyalty
- Work with sales and marketing team to develop promotional materials, such as brochures, flyers and other advertising materials
- Respond to RFP's, customer inquiries and feedback in a professional and timely manner
- Work with sales and marketing teams to attend events such as Chamber, golf or company sponsored events to promote Alberta hotels
- Prospect new business through cold calls and attending trade shows
- Manage event and group reservation requirements
- Track and analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement
- Strong Collaboration with other departments such as operations, banquet team, housekeeping and maintenance to ensure customer satisfaction

Hotel Sales and Events Manager Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, marketing or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in sales, marketing and hospitality industry specifically banquets and events
- Excellent communication, problem solving, time management and organizational skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software programs
