The General Manager reports directly to the **Vice President and Ownership Group** and is responsible for driving profitability, maintaining operational excellence, and leading a motivated and high-performing team.
**Operations & Leadership**
- Oversee all departments including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage, and sales.
- Ensure smooth daily operations, high service standards, and an exceptional guest experience.
- Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Maintain a professional image and foster a positive culture among staff.
**Guest Experience**
- Ensure consistent delivery of superior customer service across all areas.
- Respond to guest feedback and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
- Lead by example to create a welcoming and guest-focused environment.
**Sales & Marketing**
- Collaborate with the Vice President and Owners to develop and execute sales and marketing initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and travel partners.
- Drive occupancy and revenue through strategic planning and partnerships.
**Financial Management**
- Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and monthly performance reports.
- Monitor all revenue and expense areas to achieve financial goals.
- Oversee accounting, inventory, and purchasing controls to ensure accuracy and cost efficiency.
**Human Resources**
- Recruit, train, and lead all department managers and staff.
- Conduct performance reviews, set goals, and promote employee development.
- Maintain compliance with employment and health and safety standards.
**Property & Compliance**
- Ensure the property is well-maintained and meets all cleanliness and safety standards.
- Oversee maintenance programs and ensure compliance with provincial and federal regulations.
- Implement safety, loss prevention, and emergency procedures.
**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Business, Hospitality, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum **5 years of senior hotel management experience**.
- Strong financial understanding including budgeting, forecasting, and revenue management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability
