The Sales Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of the total sales effort of their assigned market, including securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of Fantasyland Hotel while maintaining customer satisfaction.
As the Sales Manager, you will be eligible for our benefits package, have access to regularly hosted employee events that foster team spirit, and enjoy our commitment to work-life balance through participation in a four-day work week program.
Primary Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand market reach.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and banquets to ensure alignment of sales and customer service efforts.
- Ability to track performance against goals and adjust activities accordingly.
- Responsible for preparing a targeted action plan.
- Meet with prospective and existing clients to increase group bookings within the assigned market.
- Represent the hotels during in and out of town sales trips and act as a representative on professional committees.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales.
- Completion of a post-secondary education in hospitality, sales, or a related field.
- Proven ability to make sales presentations and possess strong public speaking skills and abilities.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, computer, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with OPERA is a strong asset.
Terms Of Employment
- This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, with flexibility in scheduling. Reliable transportation is required for both local and out-of-town travel and sales calls.
- This is a salaried position, with compensation based on experience and qualifications.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance and provide a clean drivers abstract every year.
- This position may be eligible for participation in our 4-day work week program, subject to operational requirements.
