There is not a member of our team who doesn’t live and breathe the flower business and it’s that dedication and depth of understanding that’s been a hallmark of Staalduinen since our humble beginnings. **About The Position** The Sales and Marketing Assistant is directly responsible to the **Director of Sales**, and **General Manager**. This position completes various administrative, sales and customer-related tasks in support of the Sales Team. **Principle Responsibilities** - Provide Customer Service and Administrative Support to the Sales Team (posts office correspondence) - Update and maintain product information, client information, Sales programs - Develop a thorough knowledge of the company and all the products and services that it offers. - Carry out any additional tasks as requested by the Director of Sales and General Manager - Adhere to all company guidelines, procedures and policies. - Represent Staalduinen Floral Ltd. in an effective, ethical and professional manner. **Required Qualifications** - Preferably 1 year of directly related work experience (preference may be given to those with floral industry experience) - Office administration or back-office support experience - Experience working with inventory software and order processing systems - Experience with Photoshop and graphic design programs - Photography experience would be considered an asset - Intermediate to advance level of expertise with MS Office Applications - Must be proficient in the English language and able to communicate fluently verbally and written - Flexible and adaptable with sound work ethics - Strong organization & time management skills - Proven track record of working independently and as part of a team **Working Conditions** - High energy, fast paced office environment - Occasional travel required to visit clients and prospects - Due to the nature of the floral industry, longer hours may be required around holiday's - Due to the nature of the floral industry and its "peak seasons", vacation time off during these periods may not be approved
