Our Shared Mobility area is responsible for supporting the adoption of open data standards in the shared mobility industry: technology-enabled ad-hoc rental of mobility vehicles including but not limited to bikeshare, scootershare, and carshare.

To support that mission, we need a Technical Program Manager.

The primary work is ensuring that the General Bikeshare Feed Specification (GBFS) aligns with the evolving needs of the community and the shared mobility industry, support stakeholders in implementing the standard, and fostering collaboration among them.

In the intersection of open source and standardization efforts, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and coordinating the interdependencies amongst GBFS initiatives to ensure the standard's successful implementation across the globe. Your will empower both internal teams and external stakeholders with the appropriate resources, knowledge and tools needed for the seamless publication, consumption and re-use of high-quality data.

This is an individual contributor role where collaboration will be fundamental, as you establish strategic partnerships across internal teams and external entities.

You will closely collaborate with the community to incrementally expand the standard, ensuring it stays in sync with the rapidly changing shared mobility market. You will also ensure that diverse stakeholder groups achieve their objectives and ensure that decisions made through open governance take into account the needs of all stakeholders, particularly those from under-represented groups.

You will identify and communicate new potential business opportunities to drive organizational growth.

- Define and track key metrics to measure GBFS standard program.
- Manage the program budget, set timelines, and coordinate resource allocation to support program objectives.

**Communication & Engagement (33 %)**
- Own and maintain a public roadmap at all times, presenting updates and changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Report on program performance and community engagement, facilitating discussions and decision-making.
- Create and disseminate public-facing documents to communicate program updates, initiatives, and achievements.

**Maintenance of the Specification (33%)**:

- Develop the specification and draft technical documentation, perform version releases, and other efforts that contribute to the standard's adoption.
- Ensure cross-team alignment and facilitate collaboration across the organization.
- Encourage and coordinate community contributions to enhance the standard and products.

This role is under the supervision of the Director, Product. This role does not have a management profile.

**Who you are**:

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in a **program management or product management** role working with multiple stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant fields or equivalent work related experience.
- Technical proficiency: understanding of GBFS or other data standards, data management principles and data processing pipelines.
- Strong project management, time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills to make decisions supported by data, trends.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to:

- Remain professional and facilitate consensus-building working with a diverse and dynamic community
- Operate effectively with limited resources

- Balance competing priorities and are comfortable working in ambiguous situations
