SAF International, a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the less fortunate across South Asia, is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to support the efficient operation of our office in Surrey, BC. **Administration and Data Entry**:

- Assist the Finance Director by recording incoming cheques and donations in DonorPerfect(donor database);
- Follow-up with monthly credit card donors if their cards have been declined;
- Manage donor database to maintain accuracy and enter all incoming donations received via website, mail, phone, and in person on a planned and consistent schedule;
- Ensure that details about each constituent/donor are added to the appropriate database account;
- Create reports in database software to define goals and metrics, help recognize trends, and suggest ways to improve fundraising initiatives;
- Assist the Development Director with donor thank you notes and ensure that they are proofread and personalized as requested and mailed within 2 business days of receipt;
- Verify, correct, and delete unnecessary data, or combine data from several source
- Issue tax receipts in a timely manner, and process annual tax receipts each year in a timely fashion;
- Organize mailing lists using database and other tools for Annual Event, newsletters, and other mailings;
- Coordinate with the Finance Director and Development Director to ensure accuracy between donor database and accounting records and independently troubleshoot when issues arise;
**Requirements**:
Be passionate about the nonprofit sector and familiar with the goals and mission of the organization. Follow and uphold SAF policies and protocols and complete all tasks to a high standard
- Proficiency in database management, specifically with DonorPerfect or similar donor databases.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to generate insightful reports from database software to support fundraising goals.
- Detail-oriented approach towards proofreading and personalizing donor communications.
- Capability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues independently.
- Previous experience in administrative support roles or data entry preferred.
- Familiarity with financial record-keeping and tax receipting procedures is advantageous.
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required; additional certifications are a plus.

**Work Schedule**: 8:30am to 4:30pm. Monday - Friday 40 hour work week.
