**Commercial Manager - Montreal**
**Position Summary**
Under the direction of and in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director -the Commercial Manager is responsible for overseeing the development & delivery of the regional sales strategy for his/her portfolio of brands. This is achieved through the analysis and interpretation of consumer, category and customer relevant information to derive insights and recommended courses of action to achieve regional performance objectives. The role works closely with several key stakeholders, namely Sales/Commercial Managers, Marketing, Customer Insights and Research Group. The role is the regional link between Marketing /Brand Education/ Sales to foster collaborative planning and excellence in execution.
**Key Responsibilities**
- In close collaboration with the Regional Director, lead the development of the regional sales strategy and associated processes.
- In close collaboration with the Regional Director, monitor and assess business performance against regional KPIs and make sound commercial recommendations to course correct where appropriate.
- Lead the development of key category, customer and consumer insights for integration and execution into regional sales strategies.
- Generates compelling selling stories to support brand execution against the fundamentals of Distribution, Shelf, Price, Promotion and Display with a 360 approach.
- Liaise with and develop key strategic partnerships with individuals within Corby to develop and deliver the regional (customer and shopper) research needs.
- Manage critical path for regional execution of national/regional strategies and initiatives.
- Support Regional Director on development, implementation and monitoring of regional pricing strategy.
- Function cooperatively and effectively within a team environment.
- Lead all trade marketing projects.
- Forecasting, planning and execution.
- Coordinate with partner agencies all trade marketing projects in alignment with brand identity.
- Portfolio planning and budget management.
- Regional activity calendar management.
- Collaborate in in field team monthly objective planning.
- Liquor board program Calendar Planning.
- LTO and pricing pre and post analysis.
- Commercial planning file.
- Other duties as required.
**Required Skills & Abilities**
- **Negotiation Skills**: Ability to manage customers’ needs and requests through appropriate negotiation cycle & techniques, to achieve Pernod Ricard’s objectives.
- ** Influencing & Networking**: Ability to establish and develop mutually beneficial and trusting business relationships with key internal / external stakeholders, through cooperation, integrity and with strong interpersonal & presentation skills.
- ** Consumer/Shopper Insight**: Ability to capture and exploit strong consumer / shopper understanding and trends to develop actions appealing to consumer needs (promotion, merchandising, animation, testing
