The CleanBC Industry Fund supports the development, trial and deployment of projects that reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from large industrial operations in British Columbia **The Role** As the Director, Clean Investment team, you will oversee the Clean Investment team and make an meaningful impact on industrial decarbonization in British Columbia The team is responsible for the policy, programming and operation of the CleanBC Industry Fund. The Fund aims to advance technology and projects related to industrial greenhouse gas emissions by investing a portion of the carbon tax paid by large industrial operations. The Director is responsible for the oversight of approximately 15 union staff in three distinct teams (Technical Engineering, Program Policy, Operations), which manage all aspects of the CleanBC Industry Fund. The role involves significant budget management of the annual funding allocation and involves a combination of stakeholder management, contract oversight and program policy design. This position is well suited for someone with a background executing industrial decarbonization projects and/or with expertise managing large funding programs. **Qualifications**: **Education and Experience Requirements** - A University Degree in natural resource management, public administration, business administration, political science, energy/engineering or a related field **and** a minimum of three (3) years of recent, related experience* **OR**: - An equivalent combination of education and recent, related experience* may be considered. - Recent, related experience requirements must include each of the following: - Experience managing relationships with a wide network of internal and external contacts. - Experience providing strategic advice, options and recommendations to senior public sector decision-makers. - Experience providing leadership and direction to staff in a union environment and managing all aspects of a branch budget. - Experience establishing and reconciling program and project objectives, priorities, and budgets. - Experience in Climate change and/or GHG reduction strategies, techniques and technologies. - Experience in clean energy Provisos: - Occasional overnight travel is a requirement of this position. **About this Position**: This is a temporary opportunity until 10/10/2025.
