The Quality Assurance Technician works directly with our Quality Manager to assist in daily quality department activities. This is a full-time team member who must be available for regular business hours from Monday to Friday.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for assuring the quality of the cannabis before it is made available for sale
- Responsible for approval of methods and procedures related to GPP/GACP
- Write, review, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for site facility
- Ensure cannabis is stored and distributed under conditions that maintain its quality
- Oversee and document the sanitation of premises and equipment cleanliness, hygienic behaviour of personnel, and maintenance
- Maintain quality recordkeeping systems and ensure employee adherence to proper documentation practices
- Review quality complaints and lead investigations including corrective action and preventive action
- Ensure testing is conducted on each lot or batch of cannabis before it is released
- Ensure testing is conducted using validated methods, and investigate deviations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide support to production teams to ensure internal and regulatory quality standards are met
- Communicate effectively to all levels of management and production leads
- Assist the QA Manger with performing internal audits and vendor evaluation audits on a regular basis to determine quality qualifications.
- Actively participate in external audits such as regulatory inspections.
- Perform analysis of reports and production data to identify trends and recommend updates or changes to quality standards and procedures when necessary

**Qualifications**:

- Experience in Quality Assurance Management in a similar production environment, proven knowledge and experience related to the duties of the position
- Minimum of a science degree that was obtained in Canada or recognized by a Canadian University or professional association
- Required to be familiar with the applicable provisions of the Act and associated regulations
- Health Canada Security Clearance is considered an asset for this position.

**Summary**

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be integral to maintaining high standards in manufacturing processes and product quality. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, your role involves conducting quality inspections, utilizing analysis skills, and ensuring compliance with quality control protocols. Your core competencies in QA/QC practices, along with premium skills in quality management, will enable you to effectively monitor and improve product quality. Proficiency in tools such as microsoft excel (pivot tables) and data collection will further enhance your ability to contribute to our organization's commitment to excellence in quality assurance.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45,000.00-$51,000.00 per year
