Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a **Quality Technician **to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our Edmonton, Alberta facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

This position is **Monday to Friday** on our pre-op shift; **4AM to 12:30PM**

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Daily line checks monitoring temperatures and verification.
- Daily monitoring of production, boxing, warehouse and sanitation in accordance with the Company's HACCP System
- Internal quality audits and the maintenance of quality data.
- Ensures QA data is generated by various departments as per our written HACCP program and ensures that QA procedures are followed.
- Ensures that calibration of departmental equipment such as thermometers and scales is performed on a daily basis to ensure the equipment is kept within Company and CFIA specifications.
- Participates in HACCP activities and ensures related quality information are properly recorded and filed.
- May occasionally train company personnel in GMP's, HACCP and SQF Code.
- Maintains and performs the Company' environmental swabbing program ensuring that rotation of sites (equipment and premises) is followed as per SOPs.
- Assists in the preparation of daily sensory samples and participates in the daily sensory panel.
- Performs routine sampling of ingredients to ensure compliance to approved ingredient specifications.
- Reviews and approves incoming receipts of pre-printed labels to the Approved Revision Number List.
- Assists the Quality Assurance Supervisor when needed.

- Post secondary education is an asset.
- HACCP Training is an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Experience dealing with the CFIA is an asset
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate.
