**Accounting Technician**

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated Accounting Technician to join our finance department.

**Responsibilities**:
**Accounts Receivables**:

- Generate and send out invoices to clients promptly.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy.
- Record customer cash receipts.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or irregularities.
- Evaluate credit worthiness of new customers, establish credit limits, and manage credit terms.
- Release sales orders based on credit approvals and payment terms.
- Process credit card payments and downpayments efficiently and securely.

**Accounts Payables**:

- Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and verify invoices and expense reports.
- Prepare and perform vendor and expense reports payments.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions.

**General Accounting**:

- Reconcile bank statements and credit cards
- Prepare and file monthly GST, QST & HST reports
- Assist in preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Provide support during audits by gathering and organizing relevant financial documents.
- Generate ad-hoc reports as requested by management.

**Qualifications**:

- DEC/AEC or university certificate in accounting
- Proven experience as accounting technician or in a similar role
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and accounting software
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in French and English

**Job type**:

- Permanent, full time - 40 hrs.
- Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday
- Pay: $45,000 - $65,000 based on experience
