We currently have an opportunity for an Accounting Assistant to join our Finance team in Steinbach, MB. Working within a team environment you will assist with various accounting tasks and provide back-up to both the finance team and reception.

**As an Accounting Assistant, you would be responsible to**:

- Provide back-up support to the finance team, and reception
- Data entry including invoice, payment, and RMA entry
- Process payments, and credit memos
- Review statements, and expenses, following up on questions and discrepancies, requesting missing information where necessary
- Create journal entries, assisting with GL Account reconciliations
- Reconcile various accounts ensuring accuracy
- Complete various administrative duties
- Other duties to assist the finance team as assigned

**To qualify for this role, you will have**:

- Education in Business Administration with a focus on accounting
- Basic experience in an accounting position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook, along with previous experience with accounting-based software
- Attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer relation skills, with the ability to work in a team environment
- Effective problem-solving ability

Pay: $42,000.00-$47,000.00 per year
