Accounts Payable Clerk

Penn-co Construction is a leading construction company currently hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team based out of our location in Steinbach, MB. The Accounts Payable Clerk will work closely with the Accounting Department to deliver timely and accurate financial results. Penn-co offers an excellent benefits package and competitive hourly rate. Responsibilities

  • Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
  • Administrate monthly corporate credit card processing
  • Prepare accounts payable cheques and online payments
  • Research and resolve accounts payable issues
  • Process daily office administration tasks and support reception coverage
  • Consistently deliver excellent internal and external customer service
  • Ensure appropriate approvals and accurate expense coding
  • Continuously improve accounts payable process
  • Ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the CFO
  • Perform other accounting, administration, and general office duties as required

Qualifications

  • Previous accounts payable, administration, or accounting experience or a diploma, certificate, or degree in Accounting or Business Administration required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proven attention to detail and a focused client-centered approach
  • Demonstrated effective communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
