Edgett Excavating offers a very competitive pay structure including, benefits, and RRSP matching. This position is primarily be Monday - Friday but does require the ability and willingness to work some overtime as required. The Shop Foreman will oversee all aspects of maintenance and repair of our fleet of trucks and equipment. This position acts as a working supervisor, provides coordination, supervision and assigning the shop crew. The Shop Foreman ensures accountability to the work/repairs completed, compliance with all health and safety rules, and that paperwork is completed. The Shop Foreman will ensure Edgett Excavating develops and follows best practices for equipment uptime.
**Education**
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate with Inter-provincial Red Seal or equivalent
- Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract (Class 1 Preferred)
**Experience**
- 5+ years experience in a busy shop
- 2+ years in a leadership role
- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced mechanics is a must
- Experience in the construction industry is an asset
**Skills**
- Repair and service equipment both in the shop and in the field
- Maintain and repair all Edgett Excavating equipment - all brands, all types, large, small, old, new and everything in between.
- Diagnose, identify, and repair all problems with equipment
- Strong communication, purchasing and change management skills
- Ability to foster and grow a strong safety culture

**Salary**: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
