We work with a wide range of customers, all of whom expect the highest quality seafood they can get whether they’re a home cook or a chef of a Michelin-starred restaurant.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Report to Operations Manager
- Show up ready to work every business day and be available to the team. This is an onsite position and remote work is not an option.
- Book shipments for import and export - liaising with freight forwarders, airlines, trucking companies, and occasionally other parties.
- Route, schedule, and dispatch local drivers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Be available to jump in a truck and pick-up or deliver product.
- Plan and track the shipment of DTC and B2B according to customer requirements.
- Co-ordinate with sales team and customers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Request certificates of origin, of health, and of catch from different government agencies.
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Research and propose new logistics methods to help minimize logistics costs without reducing our current level of service.
- Participate in quarterly inventory counts.

**DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND COMPETENCIES**
- Valid class 5 BC drivers license.
- Knowledge of warehouse and transportation operations.
- Knowledge of cross border dispatching regulations and practices.
- Knowledge of international export rules for countries such as Asia, Europe, and the USA.
- Knowledge of CFIA regulations and familiarity with the fishing industry are strong assets.
- Must be self-motivated and can work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
- Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communications skills. Other language skills are an asset.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Previous experience with QuickBooks is an asset.
- A working understanding of Pacific Seafood is an asset.
- Experience in customer service is an asset.

**EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS**

Logistics experience, school, and training an asset.
