Marshall Canada requires a Manager, Quality Assurance in Moncton, NB to join our team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, Land Systems, this role is responsible for to ensure compliance of the Marshall Land Systems Canada Inc. Moncton QMS with all aspects of ISO 9001 standard / ISO 14001 standard, applicable industry standards, customer requirements and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements while continuously seeking improvements to the Marshall Land Systems Canada Inc. Moncton QMS.
**Your responsibilities in the role**:
- Maintain and continuously improve an ISO9001/14001 compliant system.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure the development and implementation of required procedures, policies, and work instructions as part of the QMS.
- Provide necessary procedures, policies, and work instructions to maintain the quality system.
- Manage all internal and external audits.
- Oversee the process of product signoffs.
- Conduct/participate in internal audits per the audit schedule (include product/process, capability, planning, part/component certifications, inspections)
- Identify priorities, schedule, and ensure completion of internal audits to meet relevant regulations, standards and compliance to the QMS.
- Schedule and conduct internal and external Non-Conformance Audits
- Investigate any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork, ensure issues are addressed and drive the improvements.
- Prepare and conduct ISO compliant management review meetings.
- Conduct and manage supplier audits, including non-conformances, as required.
- Supports and maintains a calibration system for measuring equipment.
- Determine appropriate KPIs to provide relevant data to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collate and distribute KPI data per pre-determined escalation points.
- Provide feedback on quality performance and Quality KPIs at the appropriate forums.
- Use KPI trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.Â
- Produce KPI feedback on performance in areas of responsibility.
- Collate data information and distribute with improvement ideas as required.
- Prepare and conduct Management review meetings that are ISO standard compliant.
- Promote a positive quality culture, including supporting managers and leads.
- Train quality team and stakeholders on the QMS, processes, audit preparation and other quality related items
- Provide quality systems training. (IFS, Q-Pulse)
- Provide supervision, assignment / monitoring of tasks, and coaching.
- Develop individualized objectives and clear accountabilities for Quality team members.
- Provide individually tailored development support to enable growth, address performance / conduct concerns, conduct performance reviews.
- Provide quality systems and audit preparation training.
- Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager - LS.
- Proven experience in a quality assurance role.
- A University Degree or College Diploma in a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge gained through other forms of education or training;
- Experience working in a ISO900/14001 certified manufacturing facility or company.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, superior organizational abilities, and excellent computer skills.
- Proven experience as Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of quality standards and testing methodologies.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, Assembly diagrams.
- Knowledge of quality inspection principles.
- Willing to work shift work if required.
- Knowledge of ERP systems; knowledge of IFS is an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
