JOB SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Quality Assurance Director, the Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for defining and leading the QA strategy for slot game development, ensuring the highest levels of quality, compliance, performance, and player experience. This role oversees QA team members across the entire game lifecycle from concept and math validation through certification, release and live operations, while partnering closely with various other teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
QA Leadership & Strategy
- Work with the QA Director to establish quality standards, best practices, and KPIs aligned with business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and scale QA testers across multiple projects.
- Review projects and assign work to team members based on skillsets and availability.
- Participate in management reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes, tools and automation.
Slot Game Quality & Testing
- Oversee comprehensive testing of slot games, including Game logic, math models, payout structures, animations, sound and player experience.
- Ensure that software solutions comply with internal and external standards (security, performance, regulatory compliance).
- Balance manual and automated testing strategies for optimal coverage and efficiency.
Compliance & Certification
- Ensure that games meet regulatory and jurisdictional requirements (e.g., GLI, BMM, NIGC, MICS).
- Partner with compliance teams and external test labs to support certifications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Game Design, Engineering, Product, and Development teams.
- Participate in roadmap planning, release readiness reviews and risk assessments.
- Ensure the management of tickets in collaboration with the Technical Services team.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- College Diploma (DEC) or Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field
- 8+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with significant focus on slot or casino game development
- 3+ years in a QA leadership or management role
- Deep understanding of slot game mechanics, math models, RNG, and payout systems
- Hands-on experience with regulatory testing and certification processes
- Exceptional leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to balance quality, speed and regulatory constraints
ASSETS:
- Knowledge of the casino gaming industry
Written and verbal communication skills in English and French
Strong interpersonal skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers to touch and handle objects, tools or controls.
- Specific visual abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Depending on the position, may have to travel locally, nationally or internationally.
