We are currently recruiting for a **Cook 1 **to work at the **Pantages Hotel Downtown Toronto** The Cook 1’s key responsibilities include preparing delicious food that meets the Hotels standards, for the restaurant, banquets and pool patio.

**Station Chef’s Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare food for the restaurant and banquets, all in accordance with the established standards (quality, quantity and presentation).
- Work along side other Culinary professionals, displaying teamwork in the accomplishment of daily tasks.
- Taste and monitor food that is being served, ensuring taste, temperature and presentation meet our standards.
- Responsible for cleaning work station and ensuring a neat and organized space, which helps ensure the efficient operation of the Kitchen.
- Contribute to the development of the daily specials.
- Assist with ordering supplies and completing inventory when needed.
- Follow through on daily tasks and key responsibilities, driving a culture of teamwork and fun
- Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
**Qualifications for the Role**:

- 2-3 years previous experience as a Cook in a busy environment, required.
- Must be Red Seal Certified.
- Must have valid Food Handlers Certification.
- Excellent communication and positive attitude.
- Passionate about the culinary and dining experience.
- Strong organization skills and a proficient multi-tasker.
- Smart Serve Certification is an asset, but not a requirement.
- Must be available to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons and evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
