Pharmacy Administration Assistant

**Neighbourly Pharmacy** is looking for a Pharmacy Administration Assistant **to join our Regina, SK** location at **Regina Fulfillment Centre (RHS)**.

Reporting to the Store Operator/Pharmacy Manager, and under the supervision of a pharmacist, this role is responsible for performing specific dispensing functions as well as various accounts payable duties such as bank reconciliations, filing, mailing, financial statements, and payment processing.
- 40 hours per week.
- The store is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
- The usual shifts will fall between these days and times.

**Responsibilities**:
**Dispensing & Pharmacy Operations**
- Perform specific dispensing functions as outlined by provincial regulations and standards of practice.
- Assemble prescription medications in compliance with the company's quality and productivity standards in a clean environment.
- Receive a written prescription from customers.
- Locate the medication, select the prescription container, and count/pour the medication.
- Attach the label to the prescription container.
- Ensure that the original container, prescription container contents, and label are checked and initialled by the pharmacist.
- Regularly phone customers for unclaimed prescriptions.
- Keep all areas of the pharmacy clean, neat, and professional.
- Maintain adequate stock of pharmacy supplies.
- Answer the pharmacy telephone, except for the doctor’s line, which should be answered by a pharmacist.
- All doctors’ calls and inquiries regarding prescriptions, copies, drug information, and poisons must be referred to a pharmacist.
- Assist with third-party billing.
- Set up a schedule for outdated pharmaceuticals.
- Assist with inventory control.
- Assist with checking off and putting away pharmaceutical orders.
- Maintain stocks of pamphlets/consumer information.
- Maintain OTC/non-prescription sections, as designated.

**Bookkeeping**
- Administer Accounts payable, Account Receivable, and bank deposits.
- Receive incoming mail.
- Order and monitor office supplies.
- Administer filing, including prescription filling.
- Assist with mid-month and month-end nursing home billings.
- Provide customer service including setting up payment options.
- Notify customers and the manager of delinquent accounts.
- Count Till and Float.
- Processing payments and responding to customer inquiries about accounts.
- General office duties as well as miscellaneous tasks to support the Store Operator, Pharmacist, and central fill operations.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Preference will be given to those who have retail Pharmacy experience.
- Previous bookkeeping experience is an asset. **This is an entry-level role.**:

- Kroll experience is an asset.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Communicate effectively in both oral and written formats.
- Excellent ability to work as part of a team or independently.
- Professional attitude and ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers.
- Work steadily under deadlines.
- Ability to take initiative, direction, and prioritize.
- Professional image and proper grooming.

**Experience**:

- Pharmacy Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- permanent provincial driver's licence. (required)

Work Location: In person
