**Overview**
The Career Practitionerassists primarily Afghan immigrants who are unemployed and underemployed and looking for a job or training. The Career Practitioner reports to the Program Manager and is responsible for assisting clients to become self-sufficient in their career development processes through identifying and meeting their employment goals by helping them to return to work, find new work, or access employment and training opportunities.

**Responsibilities**
- Providing one-on-one career and employment counseling services to clients in their first language (Dari, Pashto, Farsi) and or English.
- Conducting needs assessment and helping clients develop training and occupational goals, set doable employment plan and access relevant employment resources.
- Facilitating in person and online job search workshops such as resume writing, interview preparation, and labour market information among others.
- Educate clients on job search strategies, resume writing, and interview preparation.
- Analyze labor market trends to provide informed guidance on employment opportunities.
- Monitor client progress and provide ongoing support throughout their job search process.

**Qualifications**
- Must be professionally proficient in Dar, Pashto & Farsi
- A Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Career Development Certificate or CCDP designation is an asset.
- Proven experience in providing job search and career training to high-need immigrants
- Strong public speaking abilities with experience in facilitating workshops or presentations to diverse populations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate
- Experience in interviewing techniques and recruiting processes is a plus.

Pay: $50,700.00 per year
