Join us Primary Purpose of the JobTo support job seekers and those in transition to school or another career in building solid job search tools and competencies through coaching, facilitating and collaboration. Reports toProgram Manager Duties and ResponsibilitiesWork 1:1 with clients on individualized employment goals and strategiesProvide coaching on resume and cover letter development, interview skills, job search strategies, networking, and other related tasksWorkshop facilitation utilizing engaging techniques, technology and applicable, updated materialsDevelop relevant and innovative materials applicable to job search, career investigation and education explorationMaintain and utilize resources for community referralsEstablish and maintain a network with community partners, employers, and industry representatives to assist clients in attaching to the labour marketFacilitate solutions and resource connections to mitigate barriers to employmentEnsure contract expectations are being met, including, but not limited to- assessments, reporting, referrals, and file managementPromote MCG Careers programs and services professionally; assist in the development of various marketing materialsWork collaboratively with the team and provide support to other programs as neededOther duties as assigned QualificationsPost-secondary education and experience working in a client-based industryMinimum 3 years in career developmentCCDP Certification is an assetExperience and understanding of the challenges of this specific client groupUnderstanding of the career planning processComputer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and using web-based softwareKnowledge of Social Media platformsExposure to seminars or training programs/affiliation with professional associations related to career development Job TypeFull-time BenefitsDental careExtended health carePaid time offWellness program ScheduleMonday to Friday EducationBachelor’s Degree (preferred) Work LocationIn person; Calgary Downtown How to ApplyPlease apply through the link below, or email your resume and cover letter to hiring@mcgcareers.com.
