**Position Title: Multi-Sport Supervisor**
**Reports to**:Program Coordinator - Camps, Fitness & Wellness
**Status**:Summer Contract (June Start) 35 hours per week

**Summary**:
The primary responsibilities of the Multi-Sport Supervisor will be to keep accurate attendance
records of campers, assist with registration and respond to any incidents that arise in the
building during camp hours. In addition, the Multi-Sport Supervisor will be responsible for
promoting the theme of the week to campers to encourage participation and excitement, and
to encourage enthusiasm for the theme of the summer for Variety Village Camp Staff.

**Major responsibilities, include, but are not limited to;**
- Assisting the Camp Coordinator;
- Having a thorough knowledge of disabilities and the day to day operations of the

Variety Village summer camp;
- Stepping in to assist with lunches or in times of low staffing;
- Keeping accurate attendance records and following up with parents when a child is

not present;
- Responding to incidents throughout the building;
- Ensuring the health and safety of all staff and campers by performing duties in

adherence to health and safety protocols and policies;
- Being a fun and enthusiastic presence at camp;
- Providing feedback and coaching Staff as necessary;
- Assisting in the delivery of mid and end of the summer staff reviews, helping file and

organize paperwork;
- Assisting in overseeing Staff scheduling;
- Liaising with Communication Department to showcase camp activities;
- Assisting Site Director and Supervisor team with the development and

implementation of orientation;
- ** **Helping to create the theme of the summer and the week and ensuring it is adopted

by staff and campers;
- ** **Adhering to all Variety Village policies and procedures, including but not limited to:
AODA, OCA, Health & Safety, Plan to Protect and Human Resources related policies.
- Handling other duties as assigned.

**Key Competencies and Qualifications**:

- Valid certification in CPR-C, First Aid, and AED required; (minimum).
- Experience being in a leadership role and providing meaningful feedback.
- Can demonstrate leadership abilities and is an approachable person.
- Experience with integrated programs.
- Strong understanding of operations and needs of Variety Village.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and proactive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Is organized and can successfully archive attendance records.
- Has a creative outlook on camp and is willing to implement new ideas.
