Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre Inc. is currently looking for **a Full-Time Supervisor, Food Services **to join our team

The Supervisor, Food Services, is responsible for successful operations of food services for the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre and will oversee food services staff to deliver exceptional service to all patrons.

**The Key Accountabilities Of The Role Include, But Are Not Limited To**:

- In cooperation with the Food Service Management Team, supervise activities of Food and Beverage staff and operations.
- Assist with recruitment, selection, payroll processing, scheduling and training of food and beverage staff.
- Monitor that staff are arriving at their scheduled shift on time and in full uniform ready to perform assigned duties. Provide coaching as needed.
- Assist with weekly counting of ‘End of Day’ deposits with finance team.
- Assist in resolving staffing issues including last minute schedule changes/finding coverage for the shift.
- Create and follow proper ordering and receiving procedures, including monthly inventory and timely payments - approve all orders created by team leads before confirming with suppliers.
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with franchises, suppliers, clients, customers and staff.
- Assist in resolving any operational issues and addressing them to the appropriate department (IT, Operations, Customer Service, etc.), and follow up with management.
- Ensure all operating standards are achieved based on the requirements of each food service outlet.
- Ensure that standards for sanitation and food safety are met, including our waste diversion and recycling policies.
- Carry Radio at all times to ensure open communication with all Food Service Stores.
- Ensure all food service employees have up-to-date required certifications.
- Assist the Head Chef and Assistant Manager in catering execution.
- Assist in developing new initiatives and programs to improve sales and customer experience.
- Demonstrate high personal integrity, business ethics, and takes every opportunity to promote food and beverage services.
- Ensure compliance of all standards and procedures relating to local and provincial workplace safety standards and that they are followed by all team members.
- Utilize conflict resolution and problem-solving skills and other duties as required.
- Understand, support and adhere to Company policies, programs, and procedures; and
- Comply with all legislative requirements (e.g. _Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, Employment Standards, Act, 2000_, etc.)

**What We Need From You**:

- Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a food service environment.
- Minimum of high school diploma. Post-secondary Degree/Diploma in Food and Beverage Management and/or equivalent an asset.
- Current Food Handler’s and Smart Serve Certification.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR-C Certification.
- Efficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Self-starter, flexible, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
