Machine Operator

We have a need for a Machine Operator in our Langley branch. The position is full time - 40 hours per week, with possible shift work. We offer competitive wages as well as a comprehensive benefit package after the completion of the probationary period.

**Position requirements**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform tasks such as Grinding and Deburring in a safe manner with mínimal rework
- Lift and move product safely as required
- Perform various tasks and assignments as instructed by the supervisor using various tools
- Identify safety hazards and bring it to the attention of the supervisor
- Operate all equipment, including small hand tools, in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment

**Education & Experience**:

- Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience using various hand tools
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in welding or machine operation an asset

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Great attention to detail with the ability to focus on the task at hand
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with fluency in English
- Team oriented thinker with the ability to work alone or in a team
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Ability to read a measuring tape
- Ability to work with moderate supervision
- Proven ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety procedures
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
