**What you are looking for**:
A great opportunity for a entry level, intermediate or experienced **Edge Bander Operator** who will be working with a, **state-of-the-art Holzher PUR 1329 Multi,** where you will have impact and have the skills to support our manufacturing group in our Langley location. Our Production Management team will work with your experience level and develop you in the role.

**Job summary**:
As an **Edge Bander Operator** one of your primary responsibilities include safe, accurate and efficient operation of automated Edge Bander in a cabinet door manufacturing work cell. It's imperative you follow training and safe work procedures for all equipment being operated in addition to maintaining required quality standards and keeping organized production/quality logs. You will coordinate with teammates within the production department and amongst several different types of machines and you will be accountable for working specifically the scheduler to maintain production schedules and adjusting for rushes to serve our valued customers as needed.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Learn and follow all corporate safety policies and procedures, equipment operation and quality checks.
- Utilize training to competently operate assigned equipment, including basic program adjustments
- Read technical paperwork and drawings to interpret specifications and machining parameters.
- Keeping workflow organized and clearly marked.
- Loading materials manually and utilize lift for larger sheet goods.
- Ensure raw materials are cleaned and inspected for quality prior to loading.
- Maintain forklift certification to assist with material transport and machine loading.
- Perform quality checks on final products.
- Participate in cross-training on other equipment as department requires.
- Understand department and company goals, strive to meet/exceed these targets.

**Qualifications/requirements**:

- Understand door manufacturing process flow and operation of an Edge Bander with a minimum 1-2 years experience.
- Understand basic computer functions to operate machine software’s.
- Ability to read technical paperwork and drawings to interpret specifications and machining parameters.
- Ability to multi-task, monitoring several machine components during operation.
- High level of concentration, attention for detail and quality control.
- Basic math skills - unit conversions, arithmetic operations, ratios, and percentages.
- Efficient machine operation with mechanical aptitude.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly.
- Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve and add value to the organization.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
