Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Maintenance Programs (DOM-P), the Technical Records Manager is responsible for managing the Technical Records department, ensuring compliance with the Canadian Aviation Regulations related to Maintenance and Air Operator technical records requirements.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Manage day to day activities of records staff
- Responsible for the efficiency and quality of work performed by the Technical Records department
- Ensure that accurate digital and hardcopy records are updated and maintained in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations
- Manage the organization and storage of Maintenance records
- Amend departmental procedures as required
- Develop departmental training
- Provide training to staff
- Manage the onboarding of aircraft technical records for aircraft acquisitions
- Assist and step in for department as required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Education, Experience and Certifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent
- Must hold valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence or have previous Aircraft Technical Records experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in a managerial role
- Minimum two years’ technical records experience
- Previous experience with an Aviation Management Software (WinAir preferred)
- Familiar with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and airworthiness requirements
- Familiar with the ATA system and aircraft maintenance terminology
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations
- Indigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an asset
Working Conditions
- Physically able to perform all listed job duties
- Travel by aircraft and other means as required by role
- Work performed primarily in an office environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30lbs (box of records)
