**About Us**:
Whistling Wind Counseling and Therapy Services Inc. provides Action Therapy, a unique
therapeutic model that blends community engagement, mentorship, and cultural healing to
support individuals, youth, and families. Our team of over 40 Action Therapists currently serves
more than 350 youth, delivering professional and holistic care rooted in relationship, social
justice, and land-based healing.
**Position Details**:
- Job Title: Executive Administrative Assistant / Bookkeeper (Contract)
- Start Date: TBD
- Hours: Approximately 25-35 hours per week (depending on efficiency and time
management)
- Location: Hybrid - Can work from the program office or remotely
- Compensation: $3,000 - $4,000 per month
**Role Summary**:
Under contract and supervision of Whistling Wind Counseling and Therapy Services Inc., the Executive Administrative Assistant/Bookkeeper will work closely with the management team to maintain organized records, oversee financial books, handle monthly invoicing, manage payroll, and perform other administrative tasks related to the operations of Action Therapy.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Maintain electronic filing systems and ensure organized record-keeping
- Oversee bookkeeping and financial records
- Process payroll administration accurately and on time
- Manage databases and administrative systems
- Handle financial account management, including tracking expenses, invoicing, and
monitoring received payments
- Assist with financial reporting and reconciliation
- Communicate with the accountant to provide necessary financial information for tax
filing and year-end financial statements
- Perform general administrative duties as assigned
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or certificate in administration, bookkeeping, or related field (preferred but
not required)
- Minimum two years of experience in administrative and/or bookkeeping roles
- Advanced working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and financial management systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in invoicing, payment tracking, and expense management
- Effective time management and ability to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills
**Additional Considerations**:
- Preference will be given to Indigenous applicants
Pay: $36,000.00-$48,000.00 per year
Additional pay:
- Bonus pay
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
**Education**:
- Secondary School (preferred)
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Winnipeg, MB R2W 2M4
