Red Deer County, Canada Fire & Flood Emergency Services Ltd. Full time

We are looking to add a part-time flexible position for our accounting department. Work will be primarily in account payable but will include cross training in accounts receivable. This position is for 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am-4:00pm. There will be opportunity for additional hours for May to September to cover vacations and our busy season.

**Duties**:

- Assist in recording of invoices for accounts payable in a timely manner
- Assist in recording and collection of accounts receivable
- Ensure company policies and procedures for all aspects of financial compliance are followed.
- Updating vendor accounts appropriately.
- Reconcile supplier statements monthly.
- Collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment discrepancies.
- Multitask on multiple company files ensuring accuracy.
- Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Performing other bookkeeping and administrative duties as requested.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years bookkeeping and/or accounting experience in Canada
- Minimum 2 years experience using Sage 50 Canada.
- Experience in Quickbooks online is an asset, but not necessary
- Proficiency in using Microsoft platforms including excel, word, outlook and sharepoint.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
