Primary Focus
The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support in the development and tracking of corporate goods and technical and professional services contracts (excluding employment) and Canada’s Drug Agency purchase requests.
What do the daily responsibilities look like?
**On any given day, the Procurement Coordinator will**:

- identify, interpret, transpose, and track key contract information, including vendors, dates, milestones, notice periods, and end dates within internal systems
- enter appropriate contract information for vendors into financial platforms
- ensure that the appropriate supporting documents and fully executed contracts are filed and retained per current policies and practices
- create and execute professional service contracts that are routine in nature from standardized templates
- assist with populating details into contract agreements and standing offer agreements that are more complex in nature
- review conflict-of-interest forms for accuracy and completeness
- coordinate requests flowing into the contracts inbox and update tracking documents as needed
- coordinate with other internal teams to ensure smooth procurement processes
- process purchase requests to vendors in accordance with our policies and practices
- respond to requests from vendors and bidders regarding contractual agreements, quotes, and requests for proposals with support from the contracting team
- provide assistance to support the request for proposals and request for quotation process
- support the finance team in investigating issues ensuring information is processed in a timely manner and is accurate
- communicate with vendors, address inquiries, and resolve issues related to orders and deliveries
- support management of contracts and ensure compliance
- assist employees in using procurement tools and in processing purchasing requests.

Is this the right role for you?
**The Procurement Coordinator will likely have**:

- a postsecondary education in a relevant area such as business administration or commerce and no less than 3 years of experience working in a similar role; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered
- knowledge of principles and practices of contract law, indemnity, insurance, liability, waivers, and contract management
- knowledge of procurement processes, including principles, policies, and procedures
- experience using electronic signature systems, such as DocuSign or Adobe Sign
- demonstrated experience engaging and collaborating with internal partners and external vendors
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- a strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in procurement documentation and processes
- the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
- the ability to identify and resolve issues related to procurement
- experience working collaboratively and prioritizing and balancing multiple competing tasks effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- a respectful, approachable, and team-oriented working style while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment
- understanding of information databases and business financial systems and intermediate to advanced proficiency using MS Word, templates, and large Excel files.

- Certified Purchasing Purchaser (CPP), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
