As a **Margin Analyst**, you will work cross-functionally with the business to better understand and enhance our pricing and margins. You will analyze and understand what drives our cost-sell relationship as well as build process to help us monitor our margins by product across all our selling categories. You will also help to form our pricing strategy and execution, making sure we price appropriately across all our product ranges and marketplaces.

**_ If you were here last month you might have:_**
- Analyzed our cost-sell relationship to understand how they differ by product type and category and identified and executed a plan to prevent margin impact in each marketplace
- Assisted in completing a price and margin review after recent foreign exchange rate updates
- Spent time with our sales team understanding our discounts and markup rates and making recommendations to improve our profitability while maintaining healthy sales growth
- Participate in matrix reviews to ensure profitability and competitiveness for key accounts
- Joined meetings with our vendor relations team to understand what is driving costs within manufacturing to see how we can optimize this space with an own brand strategy
- Discussed margin trends with our sales operations leadership team and built a dashboard to monitor all margin variables by location
- Helped to rebuild our new product pricing procedure to ensure we have consistent pricing and margins Nationally
- Investigated lines of margin erosion and developed a go forward plan to minimize future impact to the business
- Continued to build Vendor relationships while discussing opportunities to improve contract pricing

- Experience in an analyst role or a financial, business or process background
- The ability to analyze data to produce useful reports and calibrated recommendations
- Interest in working with other teams to develop processes that better align business decisions
- The desire to get your hands dirty, you want to be involved in the implementation of the process you create so you can understand what is working and what you can adjust going forward
- The willingness to engage in a challenging, intellectually honest environment and contribute to it
- Excellent communication and continuous improvement skills and an ability to collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including: Outlook, Word, Excel, BI and Power Point
- Able to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team
