We are seeking a well-rounded individual to join our team at our Mississauga location. The position covers various aspects of dispatching including communicating with drivers and customers as well as some warehouse work on the weekends.

**This is a salary position**, **starting at $50,000** with a bump up of $10,000 after the 1st year and another $10,000 after the 2nd year meaning **you can make $70,000 in just 2 years.**

We are looking for someone who wants to look for opportunities as they become available in the business and someone who wants to grow with and in the company.

**5 days/week: Wednesday to Sunday**

**Hours**:
Wed-Fri: 12pm - 8pm
Sat & Sun: 6am - 6pm

**Requirements**:

- **Minimum 5 years experience in the freight & logistics industry**:

- **Forklift Licence**:

- Understand how a truck network moves and operates
- **Drive and initiative is a must**; you will be by yourself for the most part on the weekends, and we need someone who will take initiative and not only do the mínimal amount
- Demonstrated ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations preferred
- Positive attitude with good people skills
- Ability to quickly learn new software

**Responsibilities**:

- Update customers on truckloads or any delays
- If a truck breaks down, source somebody to fix the matter
- Make sure trailers in the back are secured
- Schedule and dispatch drivers to pick up and deliver loads to and from customers
- Coordinate and modify daily routes to accommodate the needs of customers
- Monitor any sudden route changes or road construction issues and establish new routes for timely deliveries
- Update customer web portals with up-to-date load information
- **Cover some warehouse duties**
