**Northgate GM**, a division of Bannister Automotive Group Under the supervision of the Controller, the
**Accounts Payable Administrative Assistant **position plays a key role in establishing repeat business and trust from our customers and vendors. This is a role where professionalism and integrity are paramount to our brand. This position is a fast-paced position that requires on-going communication while meeting frequent deadlines. It also requires that you perform accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Success in this role results in high vendor satisfaction and trust in our dealership. the accounting clerk is responsible for reconciling statements and contacting suppliers regarding outstanding credit, and processing accounts payable for suppliers.

**Salary**: $40,000 - $50,000/Year (Experience dependent) With comprehensive benefits package

Schedule: Full time Monday-Friday

**Responsibilities**:

- Reconcile supplier statements with current records and maintain communication with suppliers.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding outstanding credits.
- Process and reconcile manufacturer receivables.
- Periodically Prepare daily bank deposits as needed in a relief capacity
- Accurately post journal entries.
- Prepare and distribute payable cheques in a timely fashion.
- Provide controller with information relating to month-end
- Reconcile fuel and credit card statements and monitor credit balances.
- Comply with all written policies pertaining to confidentiality and use of company equipment.
- Resolve account discrepancies and credit disputes.
- Participate in other tasks and projects as necessary.
- Prepare and send bi-monthly/quarterly Co-op Claims for Used, Service, and Sales Advertising.

**Requirements**:

- Assist in preparing fiscal year-end documents for auditors.
- Interact with other managers regarding Invoice/credit queries.
- Ensure filing is kept in order and completed as required.
- High school diploma.
- 1-2 years of previous accounting experience.
- Be a team player and interact effectively with team members.

**Work Conditions**
- Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers - mobility required.
- Regularly spend long hours in intense concentration reviewing and entering information into a computer
- Frequently work on projects that require deadlines.
- Occasionally lift 5-10 pounds.
- Office environment with business casual dress code.
