Fleet Maintenance Coordinator

Emterra is searching for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Coordinator to join our team of maintenance experts. The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely coordination of maintenance activities for our fleet. This position reports to the Fleet Maintenance Manager.

**What will you do?**
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager in long/short term planning of work, staffing and resources;
- Monitor and evaluate vendor repairs;
- Create accurate work orders in the Fleet Management Information System;
- Scrutinize purchasing documents, provide instruction/advice on payment processing. Investigate purchasing issues and communicate with staff, storekeepers and Fleet Manager. Communicate with vendors. Monitor workflow, and ensure all incoming invoices are processed using proper procedures in a timely manner;
- Responsible for the creation of part numbers, receiving of parts and accurate record keeping of stock on hand in the Fleet Management Information System;
- Responsible for the accurate record keeping of vehicle odometer readings;
- Supervises the repairs of vehicles and equipment;
- Ensure completion of reports and records;
- Respond to emergent situations, customer service requests;
- Monitor vehicles and equipment through the use of the Fleet Management Information System;
- Attend and participate in various meetings;
- Other duties as may be assigned.
**What will you bring?**
- Grade 12 or GED supplemented with a Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic’s Certificate is an asset;
- Working knowledge of standard company practices in accordance with the Skilled Trades BC Act;
- Working knowledge of Provincial Safety Standards/Practices;
- Demonstrated ability to supervise staff effectively to meet Industry standards of productivity;
- Ability to train, evaluate and develop staff;
- Effective communication skills both oral and in writing;
- Minimum of five years experience in the Heavy Duty/Transport Truck Industry;
- Working knowledge of formal employee performance evaluation methods;
- A valid BC Class Driver’s Licence 3 with Air Brake endorsement is an asset;
- Physically capable of performing the position’s duties, including working in all climatic conditions;
- Demonstrated knowledge and competency of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
- Demonstrated ability to collect and compile data to prepare and write accurate detailed reports and documentation;
- Ability to organize, coordinate and prioritize the activities and tasks of a repair facility;
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with little supervision;
- Must have the ability to react quickly to emergency situations or rapidly changing priorities.
