Coastal Pacific Xpress is currently seeking a passionate and motivated **Fleet Maintenance Coordinator ** to join our winning team
**Hours**: 6am-6pm 12 hour shifts, 4 on, 4 off

**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
The Fleet Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all company equipment. The coordinator will work with various teams including operations, compliance and claims to ensure the company’s maintenance program is upheld in alignment with corporate objectives as well as internal and external targets. The coordinator will be responsible to ensure that scheduled maintenance is performed and to ensure that any emergency nonscheduled required repairs are completed in a timely matter. This individual will be required to schedule/review/approve/escalate any outside service requests and vendor invoices for approval. The role requires a high attention to detail and will have strict timelines for information processing and communication. As a maintenance coordinator, some responsibilities will include yard inspections, fleet and equipment visual inspections, and light duty labor tasks for trailer and equipment preparation. The position will have an integral role facilitating a positive and productive relationship between itself and operations.
Reporting into the Manager, Fleet & Facilities, your responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:
**Maintenance**:
- Identify daily routine maintenance schedules and proactively schedule with vendors and operations based on equipment availability and utilization
- Monitor and schedule routine maintenance such as CVIP, PM Inspections, Reefer PM Inspections.
- Monitor, record, and act on defective equipment driver reports based on Pre/Post Trips.
- Document and track units requiring wheel end retorques
- Correspond and address with operations and drivers on emergency repairs, breakdowns.
- Manage workflow of all maintenance mechanics and service providers at managed properties
- Plan and prioritize workflow in various geographic regions.
- Monitor need for equipment maintenance and repair
- Communicate with vendors and service providers through out the day to schedule/review/approve/escalate any outside service requests
- Comply with safety regulations
**Admin**:
- Update and maintain information in company records systems and department databases.
- Adhere to departmental procedures and systems, systems for preventative maintenance, maintenance requisitions, scheduled work and continued quality improvement/risk management programs.
- Review vendor invoices
- Data entry processing of all Repair and Maintenance related invoices through TMW R&M
- Work order and estimate creations.
- Support claims and compliance departments with investigations, violations, and equipment repairs.
- Scheduled team crossover communications
**WHAT YOU BRING**:
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in commercial transportation space, preferably within the environment of truck, trailer, and reefer maintenance.
- High school diploma, and additional related post-secondary education is a plus
- Experience in heavy duty mechanics or service administration considered an asset
- Strong working knowledge of computer software, and all Microsoft Office Suite platforms including Outlook and Word
- Ability to type at least 45 WPM
- TMW TruckMate experience considered an asset.
- Highly motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong team building attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
- Knowledge of local, provincial, federal vehicle safety regulations.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills and highly flexible.
- Ability to work a 4 on 4 off rotation schedule.
- Able to work well under pressure with a high attention to detail.
