Manager of Care and Housing (LPN)

Marineview provides care and housing to adults living with and in recovery from significant mental illness, some of whom also have other medical conditions here in North Vancouver. The nurse provides psychosocial support in a licensed group setting and provides operational oversite including training and supervising mental health workers. The sites are staffed 24/7 by mental health workers. This position is out of scope. We collaborate closely with VCH community mental health teams.

Required Qualifications:

- Criminal record check
- Diploma as LPN
- Licensure as a Practical Nurse, maintained with the BCCNW
- Minimum of two years’ relevant experience in mental health
- Two years' experience with supervision and staff management optimally in a unionized environment
- Knowledge and/or experience in principles of psycho-social rehabilitation and conflict resolution.
- Languages other than English especially Farsi an asset
- Procedure writing
- Budget management experience
- Experience in community health services is an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use Microsoft Office 365 and Share Point effectively
- Driver's license and car

This position has ability to flex time with core hours on week-days during business hours. As well, there is a need to be able to flex time to meet care and operational needs on occasion. Evening and Week-end Call is shared with other members of our Leadership team.

- FoodSafe (preferred)
