Our central station operators are the most integral component of our alarm monitoring service. They provide our customers with top of the line alarm response and customer service.
The Monitoring Center has a dedicated team of employees to ensure that our alarm, customer service and follow up are the keys to an effective alarm-monitoring program. For the last 22 years The Monitoring Center has been providing 24/7 full service alarm monitoring on all types of alarm systems. This includes: burglary alarms, fire alarms, panic alarms, medical alarms and many more. The Monitoring Center is a ULC/UL rated central station as well as a CSAA certified station with a history of only success.
In this position, similarly to a 911 dispatcher, our staff dispatches the police, ambulance, fire department or guard service depending on the various signals received and the various requirements from our customers. We ensure our operators are trained to provide our customers with efficient and professional service responding to their emergencies.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Respond to incoming alarm signals in a prompt and efficient manner, ensuring excellent response time
- Telephone and interpersonal skills
- Listens to customers’ needs and/or problems
- Determines which course of action should be taken based on customer needs and follows established procedures and guidelines

**Qualifications**:
- Proficiency in English; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Previous experience in customer service and/or call center or security is desirable
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to engage effectively with customers
- Excellent analytical skills to assess situations and provide solutions
- Familiarity with data entry processes
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment
**Schedule**:
- 12 hour shift
**Work Location**: In person office only
Pay: $16.55-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 77 - 88 per week
