**Abou**t the Job**

We are looking for a Payroll & Benefits Administrator, who will be one of our “go to people”, working closely with the Payroll Manager. This job will entail payroll preparation/processing and remittances, as well as other accounting related tasks and reporting. As the Benefits Administrator, you will be the company’s source of connection regarding benefits through Sun Life, communicating with both employees and Sun Life representatives. **The impact you’ll have**
- Preparing payroll semi-monthly in ADP Workforce Now for 450+ employees
- Preparing payroll semi-monthly in Insperity for 75+ US employees
- This includes: new hires, terminations/leaves, salary changes, taxable benefits, expense reimbursements, bonuses, commissions, benefit premiums, time off requests, and other earnings & deductions
- Manage and reconcile SunLife benefits program, which includes: new hires, terminations/leaves, salary changes, issuing cards to employees, fielding questions from employees, and updating dependents and beneficiaries
- Ensuring federal and provincial government compliance
- Preparing journal entry data for entry into accounting system
- Assisting with audit requests
- Other ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned

**The value you’ll bring**
- 1-2+ years experience with benefit policy and administration
- US Payroll experience would be an asset
- Experience with payroll tax legislation across Canada
- Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now & BambooHR would be an asset
- Knowledge of full cycle accounting concepts and procedures
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in preparing, entering and reviewing financial and payroll information
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills with an ability to meet deadlines
- Exceptional verbal communication skills along with the ability to be collaborative and maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality
