**Our Opportunity - Program Coordinator**

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator’s role is to focus on supporting seniors in our community, providing a variety of social opportunities, resources and information which will contribute to the health and well-being of the people we serve.

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Organize, facilitate, and participate in the Chebucto Links programming, including videography as required
- Record and maintain statistics and financial records related to these programs, including programs offered in partnership with other organizations.
- Promote and expand existing Chebucto Links programs, and respond to inquiries related to programming and services offered by Chebucto Links.
- Develop ideas/suggestions for new programs and work towards their implementation.
- Assist with updating the Chebucto Links website and social media.
- Participate in fundraising for programs and special events.
- Support the Executive Director with daily office operations as required.
- Other related duties as assigned/required.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills.
- Clear and current criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work as a team and independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced and highly social work environment.
- Can lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lbs (setting up tables, chairs, backdrops, nets, etc.)
- A desire to make a positive impact in the lives of seniors.
- Education related to Human Services, and/or a minimum of 3 years experience in the Human Services sector, would be considered an asset.
- Valid NS Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle is an asset

**Work with us**

This is a full-time position based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The work week is 35 hours with programming operating Monday - Friday. There is scheduled programming that requires occasional evenings and weekends.

**Salary & Benefits**:
$41,500 to $48,000 annually

3 Weeks Vacation
