**Barista - Role & Responsibilities**

We are looking for an experienced Barista to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding service and high-quality plant-based espresso-based beverages. If you would like to make the barista station your own and interact with customers - this role is for you.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Espresso Preparation**: Prepare and serve a variety of plant-based espresso beverages according to our established recipes and quality standards.
  • **Customer Service**: Greet and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, take their orders accurately, and provide information about our food and drink offerings.
  • **Quality Control**: Ensure the quality and consistency of beverages, including the brewing process, milk frothing, and presentation.
  • **Maintain Cleanliness**: Keep the barista station and equipment clean and organized, following all sanitation and food safety guidelines.
  • **Cash Handling**: Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently, providing guests with receipts when necessary.
  • **Product Knowledge**: Stay informed about our menu offerings, including espresso blends, seasonal specialties, and any special promotions.
  • **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods and provide support where needed.
  • **Adherence to Policies**: Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.

**Job Description: Barista**

**Qualifications & Additional Responsibilities**

  • Food Handler Certificate
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
  • Intermediate knowledge of espresso making techniques
  • Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, bakeware, equipment and tools
  • Strong communication, time and resource management, and planning skills
  • Ability to create new and exciting drinks, an asset but not necessary
  • More education or experience may be preferred

**Salary**: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
