**Role Summary**
This role will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to identify current and future workforce needs, understand upcoming talent gaps and talent needs in order to develop and implement effective talent acquisition strategy roadmaps to support business goals. Specifically, this Talent Acquisition Team Leader will oversee full life-cycle recruitment and campus hiring needs for Boston Scientific’s Canada businesses, through a regionalized Center of Excellence (COE) model, with a strong focus on the integration of Baylis Medical into BSC. In addition, the team leader will provide end to end recruitment for key positions as assigned.
**Snapshot of Responsibilities**:
- Engage with key internal business and HR stakeholders using quantitative and qualitative techniques to lead the talent acquisition strategy and execution of hiring goals within defined divisional area(s)
Be a key change partner in the integration of Baylis Medical into Boston Scientific by partnering with key integration stakeholders and ensuring a smooth transition for the TA team.
- Partner with internal stakeholders on succession planning, talent reviews, and assessments to understand talent gaps and future talent need and strategize accordingly to deliver talent pipelines
- Lead the use of recruiting reports, dashboards, and metrics to drive key business decisions. Evaluate metrics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of the talent acquisition team and related systems and processes
- Define and monitor overall talent acquisition team and performance expectations focusing on create innovative programs, events and campaigns to help hire the best talent in the competitive talent sector
- Lead continuous improvement of talent acquisition programs and processes within the Center of Excellence
- Hands-on end-to-end recruitment for key positions
- Deploy BSC brand in all recruitment channels
- Assure adherence to all Canada employment/labor laws
- Other duties as required.
**What you bring to the team**:
- 5+ years’ of Talent Acquisition experience, with preferred two or more years of supervisory experience managing direct and/or indirect reports
- Bachelor's degree in related field along with continued learning and development
- Working towards or successful completion of CHRP or CHRL designation is an asset
- Effective written and oral communications skills, including presenting to various stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively and build relationships at all levels in the organization
- Experience with tight labor market strategies, preferably in a regulated industry environment
- Proven time management skills
- Strong Technical Skills
- Ease with data analysis to support decisions and spot trends
- Familiarity with ATS (preferably Jobvite and Success Factors)
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills while executing on multiple strategies and outcomes simultaneously
- Tremendous emotional intelligence and great judgment in decision making allowing you to be seen as a trusted talent acquisition partner amongst HR and business stakeholders and as an inspirational leader and coach to your team
- Comprehensive knowledge of current HR/talent and ability to think outside of what’s been done before to challenge status quo and provide innovative solutioning
- Experience building and executing iterative talent attraction strategies
- Ability to reimagine a talent acquisition organization of the future with a demonstrated history of driving effective change management within a large organization
- Ability to demonstrate agility and flexibility adapting to changing business needs
- Analytical mindset
- using data to tell stories and drive decisions while seeking to understand and problem solve; you instinctively ask for the data. You are fluent with talent acquisition analytics and how to build and improve systems/processes around them
