**Job Description**:
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will create and manage solutions for business intelligence, megadata and analytics that convert data into information used by multiple operational departments. This position requires the individual to be able to work independently as well as in a team environment, be an excellent communicator and have extensive experience in business intelligence development. This person will be part of the Business Intelligence team and will work closely with other members of the IT team and business users to provide enhancements and solutions to the current Business Intelligence platform.

More specifically, you will:

- Participate in business analysis activities to meet reporting, build-extract (ETL) packages and dashboard requirements
- Understand key performance indicators (KPI) for performance, reporting, and analysis of all major data sources and business functions
- Translate business needs into specifications that will be used to produce required reports, build-extract packages and dashboards created from multiple data sources
- Provide support as needed to ensure the availability and performance of the BI solutions developed for users
- Provide technical assistance and training to other team members
- Provide training and assistance to users in the production of special reports
- Develop and implement technology best practices, guidelines and processes
- Identify, communicate and resolve data quality and reconciliation issues
- Participate in planning, problem resolution and provide support
- Perform independent checks and audits as well as validate databases to ensure data integrity.

**Qualifications**:

- 5 years of experience in business intelligence analysis
- Mastery of principles for creating data warehouses with star and flake schemas
- In-depth knowledge of dimension and fact table creation, including data configuration and processing
- Experience writing Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) queries
- Experience developing and deploying megadata solutions
- Experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service
- Experience with predictive and advanced analytics is an asset, including R, Azure Machine Learning
- Good problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to come up with creative ideas
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Team player, good communicator, and initiative
- Bilingual (English, French)

Additional Information

In order to be selected, it is mandatory that you successfully undergo and pass the investigation and security clearance process required by the Federal Government’s Contract Security Program.
