Within the branch, the Service Monitoring and Reporting team is responsible for producing data, analytics and reporting on the publicly funded treatment and recovery sector. This team works closely with other ministries, health authorities, Indigenous groups and partner organizations and to develop new ways of reporting and performance monitoring. **The Role** The Director, Service Monitoring and Reporting, supervises a team of expert staff (currently four), including data scientists, research and policy analysts. You will support your team in developing and implementing data strategies, as well as with data acquisition, review and, validation with external partners, and in the development of analytic products to inform system design and reporting to ministry executive. You will play an important role in government’s goals of improving and expanding treatment and recovery services, and ensuring a seamless continuum of substance use care for BC’s vulnerable populations. **Qualifications**: **Education and Experience Requirements** - Degree in social sciences, business/public administration, health or social sciences, economics or statistics or related field and three (3) or more years of related experience*; - OR, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. **Three (3) or more years (preference may be given for five (5) or more years) of related experience must include**: - Leading, planning and coordinating complex projects with multiple, competing priorities and rigid deadlines. - Establishing and effectively managing collaborative relationships with senior level internal and external partners. - Leading organizational change associated with implementation new strategic business processes and/or initiatives. - Writing a range of documents/content for senior leadership audience. - Related experience gained in a public service or government environment. - Experience working with Indigenous organizations and communities. - Experience in integrated analytics. - Who self-identify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit). **About this Position**: An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
