**Job Summary**: The Dealership Controller is a senior-level accountant in Prince Albert, Reporting to the CFO, responsibilities for this position include the following:
**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and review all key balance sheet accounts and identify any possible issues.
- Ensure month-end and year-end deadlines are adhered to
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
- Analyze and generate financial reports for management in a timely and accurate manner
- Produce financial statements and reports for management meetings & monthly financial reviews
- Prepare and review month end working papers. Assist with the preparation and review of year end files for the external accountants.
- Ensure that all standard accounting policies, procedures and controls are consistently and accurately applied and that all applicable federal, provincial and local regulatory laws and regulations are adhered to
- Oversee the timely processing of payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Review of semi monthly, monthly, and bi-weekly payroll, and ensuring all related tax remittances are done on time.
- Provide guidance, direction and feedback to accounting personnel
- Assistance with ad hoc projects

- Ability to maintain organization, multi-task, and manage projects in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and growth-focused organization
- Detail oriented and committed to improvement
- Ability to establish a harmonious working relationship with all contact personnel within the group
- Accounting diploma or degree, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of office accounting systems and experience with computer systems
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite with a focus in excel

**Additional Requirements**:

- Automotive Dealership Industry experience is considered an asset
- Experience with accounting software; CDK Global Dealership Management & Quorum is an asset
- Experience managing a small accounting team.
