Carling Motors Co. is looking for a **Full Time Body Shop Appraiser** to join our team We have been servicing the Ottawa area for over 60 years and pride ourselves on offering top tier service to all of our customers. We are looking for a knowledgeable and detail oriented applicant to join our elite, fun team.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Examine damage to vehicle and determine extent of structural body, mechanical, or internal damage
- Estimate cost of labor and parts to repair or replace each damaged item
- Review repair cost estimates with body shop manager or foreman
- Prepare repair orders by describing necessary repairs
- In the event of a disagreement, arrange to have damage appraised by another appraiser to resolve situation
- Determine salvage value on total loss vehicle
- Review damage estimates with insurance adjuster
- Ensure that required documentation is complete and in compliance
- Maintain a positive relationship with the customer by explaining repairs and associated costs
- Perform other duties as assigned

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Excellent customer service
- Good communications skills
- Good organizational skills
- Clean and valid driver's license
