Skyline Group is a Canadian company that manufactures and sells roof safety and access systems such as permanent ladders, guardrail, and walkway systems to clients throughout Canada. Skyline is looking for an Accounting Manager with proven experience who will be responsible for performing the daily accounting tasks to support our financial team. This includes creating and analyzing financial reports and maintaining legal requirements and compliance.

The Accounting Manager is ultimately responsible to accurately record all day-to-day financial transactions of the company by overseeing the accounts payable and receivable, managing invoices and tax payments, maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts and payments, managing expense reports and reimbursements, and entering financial transactions into our internal databases.
- Proven knowledge and experience of accounting procedures
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
- High degree of accuracy and organization with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Experience doing payroll

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Complete Monthly Reporting accurately and on time each month
- Weekly Account Reconciliation
- Management of Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk
- Payments & Remittances including Government & any Legally Required
- Transactional Accounting
- Payroll: Ensure payroll is completed accurately and on time.
- Reporting: Report on and/or aggregate reporting on all areas of the business including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, HR, and Company Goals.
- Management of Accounting System: Ensure Quickbooks (and/or future systems) are kept accurate and regularly backed up.
- Prepare and cooperate with accounting firm to complete annual review of financial statements, tax reporting, T4 reporting, year end & tax returns, annual government returns. Reports to be finalized by end of Q1 in the following year.

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
